The Acorns are hoping to extend our current run to five games unbeaten on Saturday, as we travel to Melksham Town.
It will be a first ever trip to the Melksham Community Stadium as the Acorns go in search for our tenth win at Step 4.
Ahead of our trip to Wiltshire, here is everything you need to know about Melksham.
THE OPPOSITION- MELKSHAM TOWN
STADIUM- Meads of Melksham Community Football Stadium
NICKNAME- The Town
FOUNDED- 1876
MANAGER- Stuart Fleetwood
LEAGUE POSITION- 18th
LAST FIVE- L-W-W-D-D
WHAT’S HAPPENED SO FAR THIS SEASON?
The Town are in similar form to the Acorns as they also look to make it five games unbeaten after an upturn in form as of late.
After a struggling patch, the hiring of manager Stuart Fleetwood, has seen the side pick up two wins and two draws in their last five games.
A win against the Acorns could see the Town put more daylight between themselves and the drop zone with Fleetwood’s side sitting just three points and a place above it.
Home hasn’t been quite the fortress for the Town who have won just three of their eleven games at the Community Stadium, whilst also picking up just 13 points from a possible 30.
IN THE DUGOUT- STUART FLEETWOOD
The Town have an ex professional in the dugout in Fleetwood, who mustered 137 EFL appearances alongside 149 National League involvements, netting 93 goals in total.
Fleetwood donned the shirts of Hereford United (now Hereford FC), Forest Green Rovers, Cheltenham Town, Exeter City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Charlton Athletic and Luton Town, just to name a few.
Towards the later stage of his career, Fleetwood featured more locally, stepping out for teams such as, Cinderford Town, Yate Town, Swindon Supermarine, Bath City and Newent Town.
This is Fleetwood’s second managerial spell having previously overseen Swindon Supermarine between 2023 and 2025.
PLAYER TO WATCH- JAMAL LAWRENCE
Jamal Lawrence has hit form under Fleetwood netting three times in his last four games, including a match winning brace against Bideford AFC.
Lawrence brings in vast experience having played in and around Step 2 for the likes of Oxford City, Hungerford Town and Gloucester City, following his birth through Cheltenham Town’s youth setup.
